EATON — The Preble County Board of Commissioners are scheduling budget hearings with the various Preble County departments, to be held in October. During the meeting on Wednesday, Aug. 28, Commission Clerk Keller stated hearings will be scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 15, Wednesday, Oct. 15, and Thursday, Oct. 16.

The board will meet will all the departments it oversees and review expenses and plans for the next year.

In other business:

•A public hearing was held for an alley vacation in Morning Sun. The board approved a resolution to vacate the alley in the unincorporated hamlet.

•The board authorized an expenditure of $4,000 to repair the Job and Family Services building roof.

•The board noted receipt of the 2020 Triennial Update Agreement with Appraisal Research Corp in the amount of $52,950.

•The board approved amendment one to the letter or arrangement with the Auditor of State in the amount of $984.
