Eaton drug bust nets four arrests

EATON — A narcotics related search warrant executed by the Preble County Sheriff’s Office led to four arrests and the recovery of more than 30 grams of meth on Wednesday, May 5.

The search was executed in Room 111 at the New Budget Inn Motel, located at U.S. 127 and I-70. According to a release, the warrant was a result of a short-term drug investigation related to complaints of trafficking of narcotics from the room.

Along with the 30 grams of meth, detectives found more than 60 Xanax tablets, scales, drug paraphernalia and drug abuse instruments in addition to $2,550 in U.S. currency.

Four subjects were arrested as a result of the search warrant, and the following three have been formally charged in Eaton Municipal Court:

Travis Duscharme, age 29 of Eaton, charged with aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth degree felony.

Audrey Grubbs, age 42 of Eaton, and Needius Levi Grubb, age 35 of Eaton, were both charged with aggravated possession of drugs, a second degree felony; aggravated trafficking in drugs, a fourth degree felony; possession of drugs, a fifth degree felony; possessing drug abuse instruments, a second degree misdemeanor; and illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia, a fourth degree misdemeanor.

Joshua Bowman, age 45 of West Chester, was also arrested on an outstanding warrant from Butler County. All three charged in Eaton Municipal Court remain in the Preble County Jail

An Eaton Police Division K-9 Unit also assisted the PCSO during the search warrant.
