EATON — The Preble Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) last week announced the addition of Constance Staarmann to its staff.

She was recently hired on as the Administrative Assistant/Outreach Coordinator with Preble SWCD.

“If you happen to call or stop by the office, she will likely be the first person you talk to,” District Administrator BJ Price said in a press release. “She will also be responsible for providing conservation education programs to youth and adults in Preble County.”

Staarmann grew up outside of Oxford, and graduated from Talawanda High School. She is a 2012 graduate of The Ohio State University with a degree in Agriculture Communications. She previously worked for West Chester Township in Butler County as their Community Services Secretary, where she assumed all clerical, administrative, and outreach duties for the Parks Department.

“She is the mother of a very bright and spirited three-year old who keeps her on her toes,” the release continued. “In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, being out in nature, spending time with her family, crafting, and has a love for all animals. Constance is excited to be a new member of the team and looks forward to working with the community.”

The Preble Soil and Water Conservation District exists to assist all residents of Preble County with their griculture and natural-resources concerns, whether it is related to livestock, drainage, erosion, forestry, or other matters. For more information, contact the office at 937-456-5159.
