Grades 5-8 Principal Jennifer Couch also presented certificates to the middle school students of the month, congratulating them on their success and achievements.

In other business:

• Eales updated the board on the upcoming dyslexia training for elementary staff and teachers, to better connect with dyslexic students and tend to their educational needs.

• Couch updated the board on the success of the 8th-grade Career Days held earlier that day, on the Preble County Fairgrounds at the Expo Center, where students engaged in many hands-on experiences with multiple different career fields.

• Superintendent Bob Fischer updated the board on potential grant opportunities for the district in the near future.

National Trail Board of Education meetings are held on the fourth Tuesday of every month at 6:30 p.m., in the high school media center.
