OXFORD — The Oxford Police Division filed the following recent incident reports:

Monday, Aug. 15

Complainant at 109 Acorn Drive, reported vandalism to a motor vehicle during the night time hours. The complainant stated someone cut his gas line in an attempt to either disable the vehicle or steal the gas in the tank.

Officer reported to Walmart, 5720 College Corner Pike on a report of a theft. The complainant reported a large, white male subject, wearing baggie blue shorts, blue shirt and white ball cap, walked out of the business without paying for $1.53 in fruit.

Tuesday, Aug. 16

Victim at 409 Lincoln Street reported several items stolen from his vehicle overnight. Items were later recovered and an adult male was arrested.

Victim at 612 S. College Avenue reported an unknown male entered his vehicle and stole a set of keys. Subject was later found in possession of the keys and was arrested.

Subject was arrested in regard to an active warrant through Oxford Police Department.

Known subject intentionally keyed a vehicle at 305 S. Locust Street. Victim and suspect made arrangements for suspect to pay for the damages. Victim requested that no charges be filed.

Oxford officers responded to an apartment at 5032 College Corner Pike to assist the Oxford Fire Department on a medical call.

Officer responded to 5720 College Corner Pike on a report of a theft. Two females caught stealing from business. Stolen items were non-perishable items and have been returned to the business. Two females were charged with theft.

Male was stopped for a traffic violation at 312 S. College Avenue. He was found to be a missing juvenile from West Chester.

Wednesday, Aug. 17

Officer met with victim at the police department on a report of theft of a bicycle.

Thursday, Aug. 18

Victim reported a green scooter stolen from a friend’s residence in the last couple weeks.

Female Miami student who had stored personal items in a house she was renting in Oxford found items missing when she returned after summer break. Landlord informed police he believed a male he had hired to do landscape work had been “squatting” in the house while it was unoccupied during the summer.

Friday, Aug. 19

Two unidentified males entered an apartment at 326 Withrow Street while the residents were sleeping and ate all of the yogurt out of the refrigerator. No other items were stolen and there are no suspects.

Resident at 5032 College Corner Pike reported over the past few weeks he has ordered several items online and the items have been stolen from outside his apartment after their delivery. One of the items, a phone, was found to be in the possession of known subject.

Saturday, Aug. 20

Officers responded to the area of 13 W. High Street on a report of gunshots. Male stated he fired multiple warning shots toward the ground. Male was arrested for discharge of a firearm on or near prohibited premises and concealed carry.

Sunday, Aug. 21

Victim stated someone had poured gasoline inside his vehicle while it was parked inside the city parking garage. Suspect was identified through security camera’s footage.
