OBW Scholarships awarded

EATON – Ohio Business Week is a one-week program designed to teach high school students the inside story on business operations and the principles of our free enterprise system.

This is the 30th anniversary of Ohio Business Week. Preble County has had 198 Ohio Business Week graduates. Preble County sponsors have donated over $100,000 for scholarships in the past 29 years.

The $500 scholarships to attend Ohio Business Week this summer at Ohio University went to: Isabelle Gaydosh-Bruce, Madelaina Darr, Khushroop Kang, Adam Woxman, Nathan Crammer, Olivia McCarty, Gideon Smith, Owen Hewitt, Beau Shephard, Makenzi Cooper, Austin Pugh and Ryan Venable.

Scholarships this year have been donated by the following businesses and organizations: Preble County Chamber of Commerce, U. S. Bank, Mr. & Mrs. Don Pollock, Remagen, Inc., Henny Penny Corporation, Eaton Rotary Club, Lewisburg Container, Mr. & Mrs. John Tuggle, Rexarc, Inc., Mr. & Mrs. Joe Renner, Mr. & Mrs. Doug Ulrich, Dr. Jill Vosler/John McCafferty, and the Lewisburg Chamber of Commerce.

Eaton High School Students were recently awarded scholarships for Ohio Business Week. Not pictured but receiving a scholarship were Beau Shephard and Owen Hewitt.
