CCC releases all-conference teams

PREBLE COUNTY — The Cross County Conference recently released its all-conference teams for volleyball, girls soccer and boys and girls golf and several Preble County athletes were honored.

In volleyball, National Trail’s Tristan Bowers, Riley Cruse of Tri-County North and Sidney Mowell of Twin Valley South all earned second-team honors.

Special mention selections included Lexi Stiner of National Trail, Emma Hale of Tri-County North and Mackenzie Neal of Twin Valley South.

Camille Pohl of Arcanum was named player of the year, while Macey O’Dell of Arcanum was honored as the coach of the year.

In girls soccer, Twin Valley South placed three players on the first team with Allison Bassler, Makiah Newport and Kassidy Whaley earning all-conference honors. Gracie Jones of National Trail and Taylor Green of Tri-County North also earned all-conference accolades.

Brooklyn Anderson of National Trail, Preston Lipinski of Tri-County North and Madi Hundley of Twin Valley South were special mention picks.

Darani Wenrick of Bethel was the player of the year and Dru Bescoe of Bethel was the coach of the year.

In boys golf, league champion Tri-County North placed four players on the first team and had the coach of the year.

Earning first-team honors for North was Alex Wayman, Ethan Kelley, Dylan Curtin and Spencer Brehm.

Twin Valley South’s Willie Bowman earned first team honors and was runner-up to the player of the year.

Earning special mention honors was Austin Knapp of National Trail, Matt O’Dell of Tri-County North and Chance Parks of Twin Valley South.

Tri-County North’s Nathan Hans was the coach of the year.

Chet Jamison of Newton was the player of the year.

In girls golf, Makenna Jones of National Trail earned player of the year honors, while Savanna Abner earned special mention.

Kreg Hollenbacher of Fort Loramie was the coach of the year.
