COLUMBUS — Preble County football teams will have to wait until next year for a chance to play in the postseason.
This is the second straight year in which no Preble County teams advanced to the playoffs.
Tri-County North, which defeated National Trail 14-7 in Week 10, ranked the highest among the county teams in the final Harbin computer rankings.
The Panthers (6-4) finished 11th in Division VI, Region 24.
Preble Shawnee, which needed to win and get help from several teams in Week 10 in order to make the playoffs for the first time in school history, had its season end with 35-14 loss at Monroe. The Arrows (6-4) finished 14th in Division V, Region 20.
Eaton (2-8), which finished 22nd in Division III, Region 12, lost its season finale 41-22 at Valley View.
Talawanda (2-8), which won its final game over Hamilton Ross, was 26th in the same region as Eaton.
Twin Valley South (3-7) wrapped up its season with a 59-0 loss to Miami East and finished 23rd in Division VI, Region 24 and National Trail (2-8) was 25th in the same region.
The state playoffs begin Friday night with Divisions I, II, IV and VI. Divisions III, V, VII begin play Saturday.
