Pedestrian struck, killed in Eaton

EATON — Just after 6 a.m., Preble County resident Lynette Dershen, 67, was struck by a gold Ford Ranger in the 100 block of Eaton-Lewisburg Road.

Dershen was leaving The Eaton Place to pick up her laundry at the laundromat at Five Points Centre. She routinely did her laundry and ate at the restaurant on Friday mornings.

No charges are currently being pressed against the driver. Speed, nor drugs and alcohol, are believed to be a factor.
