EHS plans Volley for the Cure

EATON — The Eaton High School Lady Eagles volleyball team has announced Volley for the Cure 2015 will take place on Saturday, Oct. 3.

The “Pink Game,” packing the stands in pink, will take place at Eaton High School. Raffle prizes and basket preview is slated for 8:45 a.m. The junior varsity game begins at 10 a.m., with the varsity game beginning at 11 a.m. or shortly thereafter.

The Lady Eagles will host the Greenville Lady Waves as they “Pass, Set, Cure Breast Cancer Together.” Organizers say it will be a day of fun, volleyball, bake sales, and concessions, along with basket raffles and silent auctions. Raffle tickets will be available for sale at the game, $1/ticket or six tickets for $5.

The team will also be recognizing the 1990 EHS state volleyball team for their 25th anniversary. All fundraiser proceeds will be donated to the Susan G. Komen Foundation for The Cure.

The event is free to those who come in 2015 Volley for the Cure t-shirts and $5 otherwise. T-shirts can be purchased for $8 and hoodies can be purchased for $25. Breast cancer survivors who join in for the day will also receive free admission.

The public is invited. The goal this year is to reach the $20,000 donation mark in the over eight years of donating for the “cure.”
