Tri-County North runners compete at Alliance Invitational

CLAYTON — Tri-County North ran in the Alliance Invitational at the Miami Valley Career Technology Center on Saturday, Sept. 19.

Injuries still haunt the Panther runners, sitting out three girls and five boys at the Invite.

But North made do, with a few runners continuing to reach personal records and always improving, said head coach Tim Martin.

Runners Patrick Timmons, Gregory Ras, and Ryan Combs all set personal best as well as Taylor Cooper on the girls side.

North boys finished 23rd overall at the event – running along both Division II and Division III competition.

“We should have most of our guys back for the County Meet at Eaton on Tuesday,” said Martin. “The girls, being down in number will just have to run on guts.”

The Panthers competed in the Preble County meet held at Ft. St. Clair on Tuesday, Sept. 22. They will travel to the Bellbrook Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 26 at 9 a.m.
