Eaton competes in Bellbrook Invite


EATON — The Eaton swim team finished up its regular season with a meet at the Bellbrook Invitational at the Dayton Raiders Aquatic Center in Beavercreek.

The girls finish sixth and the boys finished fifth at the invite.

Trey Gregory had the best showing with a first place in the 100 freestyle with a time of 51.55 and second place in the 100 butterfly with a time of 57.41.

Several of the swimmers also dropped time in their events. Abby Liddy dropped 7.98 seconds in the 200 freestyle to post a time of 2:37.28, Tanner Titkemeyer dropped 5.25 in the 200 free to 2:27.02 and 9.43 in the 500 free to 6:50.89, Michael Lipps dropped 4.82 in the 200 freestyle to 2:50.18 and also dropped 13.30 in 200 IM to 3:18.86, Conley MItchell dropped 4.86 in the 500 free to 6:02.57, Theo Darr dropped 5.61 in 100 breast to 1:30.53.

“It is exciting to see the kids starting to drop time like many of them have and we have not even started taper yet. Once we get some taper in the kids should be dropping even more time in their events. Also many of the kids are starting to do events that they could not do in the beginning of season,” said head coach Dave Montgomery.

Some other finishes include:

200 free – Madison Lakes (2:54.26), Lydia Fadden (2:59.65), Hunter Cuyler (2:54.18).

200 IM – Lauren Ferguson (2:50.11).

50 freestyle – Sasha Taxter (30.76), Destiny Brubaker (34.50), Grace Reynolds (35.56),Max Lawson (26.40), Andrew Brooks (32.96), Hunter Cuyler (34.45).

100 butterfly – Aaron Scholl (1:10.41).

100 freestyle – Sash Taxter (1:07.83), Madison Lakes (1:16.41), Lydia Fadden (1:19.59), Wyatt Cox (1:00.36).

500 freestyle – Josh Pool (5:35.95).

100 backstroke – Destiny Brubaker (1:43.99), Brooke Sizemore (1:54.26), Lauren Clyburn (1:55.93), Josh Pool (1:04.69), Conley Mitchell (1:14.19), Aaron Scholl (1:16.35).

100 breast stroke – Lauren Ferguson(1:17.69), Abby Liddy(1:25.84), Mackenzie Waxler(1:41.17), Seth Gard(1:35.68).
