Twin Valley SAY Soccer sign-ups

Twin Valley SAY Soccer sign-ups will be Sunday, May 22, from 2-4 p.m. and Tuesday, May 25, from 6-8 p.m. at the concession stand at the WABO/SAY Soccer Fields, 100 West Oak Street, at the end of Western Drive in West Alexandria. Eaton Community Golf

The Eaton Community Golf Camp will be held May 31-June 3 at Eaton Country Club. Grades 3-6 will participate from 9-10:30 a.m. each day. Grades 7-12 will run from noon-3 p.m. Grades 3-6 will emphasize the fundamentals of the golf swing, stance and grip. Proper etiquette at a golf course and some basic rules will be introduced. Prizes and refreshments are included. Instruction will be by high school golf staff and members of the team. Camp will include two days of instruction by Level One PGA Professional Mike McGee, instruction by OHSAA Hall of Fame Coach Dick Wells (Miami University Hamilton;) instruction by Dr. Dean Smith, who played at Miami University, Oxford, and a nine-hole tournament on Friday.

Girls’ basketball camp

Registration for Tri-Village’s youth girls basketball camp for girls entering the third through eighth grades is now open. The camp will be held from 9-11:30 a.m. June 20 through 23. Each camper will receive a camp T-shirt, a basketball and will have the opportunity to compete for special awards throughout the week. The camp will be led by Tri-Village varsity girls basketball coach Brad Gray and his staff along with current Lady Patriot high school players. The program of instruction will include individual skill development, offensive concepts, defensive concepts, team concepts, terminology and competition. The cost of the camp is $25 and checks need to be made payable to Tri-Village Athletic Department. Camp forms must be returned by May 27. ELL Pitch, Hit & Run

Eaton Little League will host a free Scotts® Major League Baseball® Pitch Hit & Run™ Competition for area youth on Sunday, May 15 at 1 p.m. at the Eaton Little League Complex. Pitch Hit & Run™ is the officials skills competition of Major League Baseball®. It is designed to give youngsters the opportunity to compete, free of charge, in a competition that recognizes individual excellence in core baseball/softball skills. Boys are girls are divided into four age divisions: 7/8, 9/10, 11/12 abd 13/14, and have the chance to advance through four levels of competition. All participants must bring a copy of their birth certificate and have a parent or guardian fill out a registration/waiver form prior to the start of the competition.
