Johnathon Cottingim

Johnathon Cottingim, a graduate of Preble Shawnee, has been selected for a scholarship for studies in agriculture and natural resources at The Ohio State University.

Ethan Taulbee

Ethan Taulbee repeated on the men’s tennis Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete list, the NAIA announced this week. Taulbee, from Camden and a graduate of Preble Shawnee High School, was among 90 players honored nationwide. Putting that number in perspective: More men’s tennis players qualified for the NAIA national tournament (more than 144) than earned the Scholar-Athlete award. In order to be nominated for the Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete list, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status. Taulbee majored in biology.

Emma Kroger

Emma Kroger, a senior majoring in exercise and sport science, has made the President’s List at Coastal Carolina University for the Spring 2016 semester. To qualify for the President’s List for high academic achievement, students must earn a 4.0 grade point average and must be enrolled full time.

Wilmington College Dean’s List

Rebecca L. Allen of Eaton, sophomore, agriculture; Kristin L. Cottingim of Eaton, sophomore (4.0), agriculture and Jade A. Newton of Eaton, junior, agriculture all made Wilmington College’s Dean’s List.

Wittenberg graduates

Wittenberg’s Class of 2016 graduated on Saturday, May 14, in front of a cold, but enthusiastic, standing-room-only crowd in picturesque Commencement Hollow. Local students who were among the students earning degrees from Wittenberg University included Anna Moore from Eaton, and Jarred Upchurch from West Alexandria.
