EATON — It was a historic night for Eaton volleyball when they faced off with visiting Brookville on Tuesday, Sept. 13.
Senior setter Emma McKinney eclipsed the 2,000 mark for assists in her career as the Eagles rolled to a straight set win 25-9, 25-14, 25-15.
McKinney had 27 assists, including her 2,000th during the second set on a kill by senior Stacia Weathington. Sophomore Maley Tinstman had 16 digs, four assists, and two aces on the night, while junior Ariel Richardson was credited for 10 kills and four aces. Sophomore Alysa Sorrell had 11 digs.
Eaton now stands at 6-3 overall, and 3-2 in the Southwestern Buckeye League Southwestern Division. The Eagles next contest was scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 15, when they were to host Hamilton Ross. Eaton will close out the week with three matches at Lima Bath on Saturday.
