EATON — Moving Forward Bereavement Sessions: Do you sometimes feel lost in your grief? Are you overwhelmed with feelings of sadness and negative thoughts or emotions? If you answered ‘yes’ to any of these questions, join us for a session discussing grief and healing with State of the Heart Hospice on the third Thursday of each month (Jan. 17, Feb. 21) from 10-11:30 a.m. at the senior activities center.

Tech Support: Eaton Computer will be here the last Friday of each month teaching seniors about their technology. The topic for Friday, January 25 is ‘What computer, printer, or back up driver should you buy?’ call to pre-register. Class begins at 10 a.m. at the Senior Activities Center.
Tax Prep Services: An AARP, IRS Certified, Tax Preparer will be at the senior activities center to offer free tax preparation. You must call to make an appointment at 937-456-4947. No walk-ins.
Therapist on Call: Stop in Friday, Jan. 11 at 10 a.m. to speak with a physical therapist from Vancrest.
Winter Coat Donations: Drop off your new and gently used winter coats at the Senior Activities Center.
Volunteers: We are looking for volunteers who would like to deliver meals to our seniors via our Home Delivered Meal (HDM) Program. Contact us if you are interested in driving one time a month, one time a week, or anything in between. 937-456-4947
Travel Show: Come in and hear further details and register for our new and exciting trips of 2019. A few trips we will talk about are The Garst Museum, U.S. Air Force Museum, Loveland Castle, Hair Spray at Beef and Boards, and more. This event is happening on Tuesday, Feb. 5 at 1:30 p.m. in Decade’s Diner at the Senior Activities Center. Prizes will be given away!
Sumner County, Tennessee: Fun, food and music down home on the farm. Four days and three nights, Sep. 24-27, 2019. Lots to do and see on this trip to Tennessee. Call or stop in for more details, or better yet, come to our Travel Show on Feb. 5 at 1:30 p.m.
The Garst Museum: The National Annie Oakley Center houses an extensive exhibit dedicated to the sharpshooter, Annie Oakley. Other exhibits focus on Native American history, the Treaty of GreeneVille, and broadcast journalism pioneer and nearby Woodington native, Lowell Thomas. Join us on this trip to Greeneville and learn more on Tuesday, April 9. Sign up soon, space is limited.
