EATON — Kleetis and Teresa McGhee recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.

The couple married on Aug. 21, 1971, at the Gratis Methodist Church, in a ceremony officiated by the late Rev. Fred Hixson.

Teresa is the daughter of the late Herold and Louise Bayes. Kleetis is the son of the late Oliver and Bertha McGhee.

Kleetis retired from Preble Shawnee Schools in 2006 as a teacher, coach and administrator.

Teresa retired from Eaton City Schools in 2010 as an elementary school secretary.

The McGhees celebrated the occasion with their daughter Linsey Buehner and her husband Kiser Buehner, granddaughter Riley Buehner, and their daughter Kelly McGhee and her husband Adam Hughes.
