TVS introduces new basketball coach

WEST ALEXANDRIA — The Twin Valley Community Local Schools Board of Education welcomed its newest coach to the athletic program during the monthly school board meeting, Monday, April 25.

Braxston Campbell will be taking over as head coach for Twin Valley South’s boys’ basketball team. Campbell served previously as the head coach for Dixie High School’s varsity girls basketball team for two years, before transferring to Twin Valley South.

Campbell addressed the board to introduce himself, “I’m just really looking forward to getting to work. TVS has a long history and tradition in basketball, in all sports, really.” The eager new coach ended by saying, “I think this will be a seamless transition. I’m really looking forward to the opportunity and working with everyone.”

Principal Derek Flatter commented on Campbell, stating, “We’re just very excited about having him jump over here to Twin Valley South and what he’s going to bring.”

The Twin Valley Board of Education holds a meeting on the fourth Monday every month, located at 100 Education Drive, West Alexandria, in the school Media Center, at 6 p.m.
