PREBLE COUNTY — A bridge preservation project on U.S. 35 in Preble County has begun, and a lane restriction is now in effect.
A single-lane closure is now in place on U.S. 35 at Elkhorn Road, where contractors for the Ohio Department of Transportation are replacing a box-beam superstructure over Elkhorn Creek. Traffic will be maintained with temporary signals, and the restrictions will be in effect through late August.
The project also calls for replacing a structure on U.S. 127 over Price’s Creek, just north of U.S. 40; a date to start work at this location has yet to be determined.
BCC Ohio Inc. was awarded a contract for approximately $975,000 to complete the project, and all work is scheduled to be completed in the fall of 2022.
