Eaton BOE approves agreement with Kettering Health

EATON — During a Monday, Sept. 12, meeting, the Eaton Community Schools Board of Education approved an agreement between the district and Kettering Health meant to “form a relationship to provide educational experiences in a clinical setting at one for more of the facilities.”

The agreement outlines what the school district will have to do for Kettering to provide this service to the students, including getting insurance for accidents caused by the students and giving Kettering a list with identification of all the students going on the premises. Students must also have their own health insurance compatible with Kettering prior to going.

The agreement also states the students must be immunized with a list of different vaccines before being eligible for the program. The listed vaccines include the Covid-19 vaccine and influenza vaccine.

Students must fill out the required paperwork, including an orientation form and a consent form, before going to the healthcare facility.

In other business the board:

•Approved the final 2022 graduation list.

•Approved a contract for professional services with the Preble County Educational Service Center.

•Approved a contract for services with Key Behavioral Services to provide behavioral consultations.
