Graceful Paws opens in New Paris

NEW PARIS — New Paris Chamber of Commerce welcomed Bryanna McCartney and her new business, Graceful Paws, to the village on Wednesday, Oct. 12., with a ribbon cutting ceremony on 102 North Washington Street.

“I first want to thank everyone for being so hospitable to us,” said McCartney. “We love everyone we’ve met in town, all the chamber members, everyone has just been really nice and it’s really made us feel at home.”

Bryanna and her husband Jonathon moved their two young children, Naomi and Levi, to New Paris recently to follow Bryanna’s dream of opening a pet grooming business.

“I have a passion for dogs. I’ve loved animals my whole life. And I also have a business degree, so opening up a pet grooming business was always a dream of mine. There would be no better place than here that I would have ever wanted it,” Bryanna McCartney said.

Bryanna has been in the pet grooming business for three years, a decision that was the result of “soul-searching” for a career that “didn’t feel like a job.”

“I just want to thank everyone here in New Paris for everything they’ve done to make us feel welcomed — we’ve never felt this welcomed anywhere. I’d like everyone to know that. I wish we would have come here a lot sooner,” she added.

Graceful Paws is a grooming business for dogs exclusively, as directed by McCartney’s passion. Graceful Paws is open for business and is located at 102 North Washington Street in New Paris.
