EATON — Beginning this week, readers of The Register-Herald will notice some changes in the content of their community newspaper.

AIM Media Midwest recently announced an expansion of The R-H’s coverage area as The R-H and former Brookville Star join forces to provide one comprehensive news source for our communities. With these changes, The Register-Herald will continue to be Preble County’s source for news, sports, and information, but will expand to include coverage of the northern Montgomery County communities of Brookville, Englewood, and Clayton.

Subscribers of the former Brookville Star will begin receiving The Register-Herald on Wednesdays and Saturdays. The Brookville Star’s final edition was published last week. The Brookville news team, Ron Nunnari and Terry Baver, who have reported news and sports in their communities for over 40 years, have joined the staff of The Register-Herald.

A new, updated website is on the way as well.

The changes also include the elimination of the free, carrier-delivered Saturday edition of The Register-Herald effective next week. The Register-Herald will continue to be a Wednesday-Saturday product, with both editions included for subscribers and available for single-copy purchase. The final free Saturday edition will be delivered on Saturday, March 4.
