National Trail High School’s Garland Weaver, Eaton High School’s Alanna Smith and Lydia Eilerman, and Tri-County North’s Briann Wagoner participated. Weaver took home first place honors and moves on to district competition.

EATON — Four local Preble County high school students competed in the annual Four-Way Speech competition on Monday, Feb. 27. The Eaton Rotary Club has hosted this event for many years.

National Trail High School’s Garland Weaver, Eaton High School’s Alanna Smith and Lydia Eilerman, and Tri-County North’s Briann Wagoner participated.

Weaver took first place and received $175, and moves on to the district competition set for May 26. Smith came in second place, Eilerman took third place.

Shawn Hoff, Superintendant of the Preble County ESC is the chairman of the competition committee.
