The following information has been provided by Northmont area police departments. The information listed in this column is considered public record and is available to anyone seeking information concerning what is provided below.

For purposes of this column, the term “arrested” or “charged” does not necessarily mean the person was taken into physical custody. It could also indicate that a summons was issued to the subject in lieu of physical custody.

All the people listed as “arrested” or “charged” are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Sunday, March 19, Brookville 23-00106: Scott A. Miles, 54, of Vandalia, was charged with using weapons while intoxicated and having physical control of a vehicle while intoxicated. He was transported to the county jail.

Wednesday, March 22, Brookville 23-00107: William L. McWain, 85, of Brookville, was charged with failure to maintain reasonable control after striking a windshield washer display at Speedway south. He was released with a court summons.

Englewood 23-0000485: Police responded to Thunderbowl on a disorderly subject. Jacob M. Tyree, 36, of Dayton 45414, was charged with disorderly conduct while intoxicated and transported to the county jail.

Englewood 23-0000487: Police responded to the 7000 block of Monte Carlo on the report of a burglary in progress. Linseykay M. Phipps, 37, of Dayton 45406, was charged with burglary and transported to the county jail.

Englewood 23-0000492: Wendell Broadnax, 55, of Dayton 45406, was charged with obstructing official business and theft at Walmart. He was transported to the county jail.

Friday, March 24, Clayton 23-0000321: A resident of Old Salem Road reported that after moving from her former home on Ashbrook Road she continued to be billed for electric service. AES informed her that she owed $875 for electric service for dates that she did not live there. She moved out of the Ashbrook home in August 2022.

Englewood 23-0000494: Deborah M. Holmes, 57, of Dayton 45405, and Robert L. Harvey, 68, of Dayton 45420, were both charged with theft at Meijer. Both were issued a court summons and released.

Englewood 23-0000496: Amy M. Combs, 48, of Dayton 45410, was charged with theft at Meijer and transported to the county jail. Drug possession charges are pending. A white powdery substance in a plastic bag was found in her purse and sent to the BCI Lab for analysis.

Saturday, March 25, Clayton 23-0000323: An officer on patrol found a white Chevy Cobalt in the ditch on Westbrook Road directly across from Salem Bend Drive. The officer approached and detected a strong odor of alcohol. Rashad A. Gary, 45, of Trotwood, was charged with operating a vehicle intoxicated, driving under suspension, open container and failure to control. He registered at 0.238 percent on a breath intoxilyzer test. He was issued a court summons and transported back to his residence by Officer Sanders.

Englewood 23-0000501: Mary M. Runyon, 42, of Dayton 45416, was charged with theft at Meijer, issued a court summons and released.

Englewood 23-0000503: Chelsea E. Sanders, 31, of Dayton 45406, was charged with theft at Meijer and released with a court summons.

Sunday, March 26, Englewood 23-0000511: Two male juveniles and one female juvenile entered the Shell and Marathon gas stations and stole CBD vapes, boxes of cigars and Slim Jim sausage snacks. They were apprehended by police on Wolf Avenue. Charges were forwarded to juvenile court.

Monday, March 27, Englewood 23-0000512: Police responded to the area of Sunset Drive on multiple suspicious subject complaints. An officer spotted a male subject who entered a pickup truck parked in a driveway in the 1000 block of Meadowrun Road and ducked down. Police approached and found the subject to be in possession of multiple pairs of reading glasses, a flashlight and large amount of loose change and other items. Officers located his car parked at the intersection of Moonlight and Northcreek drives with two car batteries, an angle grinder, a portable JBL speaker and other items covered by a blanket. Carlos M. Kolb, 53, of Dayton 45459, was charged with theft and transported to the county jail.
