Bolts and Devils compete in Wayne Invite

HUBER HEIGHTS — Track athletes from Brookville and Northmont competed in the two-day Wayne Invitational held Thursday and Friday.

Gahanna Lincoln won the girls competition with 84 points with Wayne second with 62 in a field of 45 teams. Northmont finished 22nd with 11 points. Brookville was not listed in the team scoring.

Centerville and Glenville tied for 1st place in the boys competition with 70 points. Wayne took 4th with 54, Brookville 10th with 31 and Northmont tied for 25th with Miami East with eight points in the field of 46 schools.

In the girls competition Northmont’s Abby Drosdak placed 6th in the 3200 meter run with a time of 11:17.92 while Serra Drosdak finished 17th in 12:03.26. Brookville sophomore Dylan Ballin finished 26th in 12:40.18.

Raylin Turner (Northmont) finished 13th in the 100 meter dash at 13.28.

Zoey Evers (Northmont) finished 11th in the 200 meter dash at 27.62.

Leah Neff (Brookville) finished 22nd in the 400 meter dash in 1:03.27. Zoey Evers (Northmont) finished 31st in 1:05.92 and Lilia Lopez (Northmont) was 36th in 1:06.53.

Jazlen Simpson (Northmont) finished 34th in the 800 meter run in 2:33.70. Grace Taylor (Brookville) was 40th in 2:36.36. Libby Mergler (Northmont) finished 42nd in 2:39.23.

Northmont runners Amelia Brown finished 31st in the 1600 meter run in 5:56.49 while Briana Pressel was 35th in 6:05.69.

Paige Auxier (Northmont) finished 19th in the 300 meter hurdles in 52.30 seconds.

In the 4×100 meter relays Northmont placed 6th in 51.40 seconds and placed 4th in the 4×200 meter relay in 1:47.82.

Northmont finished 9th in the distance medley relay in 13:10.42.

In the long jump Northmont’s Ariane Eloi finished 33rd at 13-feet, 9-inches and Chloe Maiken 34th at 13-feet, 8.25-inches. Maiken finished 18th in the triple jump at 28-feet, 4-inches.

Northmont’s Logan Fast finished 26th in the discus throw at 89-feet, 11-inches and Yuania Wilkinson-Harper was 32nd at 82-feet, 6-inches. Wilkinson-Harper finished 16th in the shot put at 33-feet, 0-inches with Marie Besingi 41st at 28-feet, 7.5-inches.

During the boys competition Dorian Brew (Northmont) placed 3rd in the 100 meter dash (11.12) and Coy Hyre (Brookville) placed 7th (11.25). Hyre finished 10th in the 200 meter dash in 22.85 seconds.

Keegan Mehr (Brookville) finished 14th in the 400 meter dash in 51.95 seconds with teammate Walt Adams 30th in 54.49.

Daron Porter (Northmont) placed 7th in the 800 meter run at 1:57.67. Lucas Tipton (Brookville) finished 47th at 2:10.74. Jackson Morgret (Northmont) was 49th at 2:11.21.

In the 1600 meter run Reed Diller (Northmont) finished 24th in 4:29.48. Lukas Rieben (Northmont) was 36th in 4:35.68. Kyle Bland (Brookville) was 71st in 5:02.66.

Christian Seitz (Brookville) finished 61st in the 3200 meter run in 10:40.92.

Kory Davis (Brookville) placed 4th in the 110 meter hurdles in 15.49 seconds with teammate Tim Davis 6th in 15.64.

Davis won the 300 meter hurdles in 39.30 seconds with Davis 4th in 39.95. Eli Pettis (Northmont) was 21st in 43.77.

Brookville placed 4th in the 4×100 meter relay in 43.39 seconds.

The Blue Devils finished 12th in the 4×400 meter relay in 3:36.73.

Northmont finished 21st in the 4×800 meter relay with a time of 9:25.78.

In the distance medley relay Northmont finished 9th in 10:39.30.

Kalib Haynesworth (Northmont) finished 26th in the long jump at 18-feet, 11.5-inches with teammate Braylen Russell 28th at 18-feet, 6.75-inches.

Larry Lockwood (Northmont) finished 13th in the pole vault at 13-feet.

Troy Crosby (Northmont) finished 20th in the discus throw at 130-feet, 3-inches. Ike (E-K) Nwanoro (Northmont) finished 51st at 100-feet, 8-inches.

In the hammer throw Jake Bartlett (Northmont) finished 18th at 91-feet, 8-inches with teammate Charlie Henson 20th at 87-feet, 1-inch.

In the shot put Bronson Stacy (Brookville) placed 8th at 46-feet, 3.75-inches. Troy Crosby (Northmont) finished 28th at 40-feet, 1.25 inches. Charlie Henson (Northmont) finished 44th at 34-feet, 1.5-inches.
