BELLBROOK — Eaton track coach Randy McKinney felt his boys and girls teams each had the chance to win league titles last weekend, but he also knew it was going to be a tough feat to accomplish.
“A very competitive meet for the men and women’s divisions,” he said after his boys placed third with 78 points and the girls were second with 104.
“We knew going in that the meet would be between us and Valley View for the girls team title and between Brookville, Valley and us for the boys team title,” he said.
Brookville won the boys title with 128.66 points. Valley View was second with 100.33.
Valley View won the girls title with 132 points.
Eaton finished with two relay champions, six individual champions, two relay second place finishes and nine second place individual finishes.
“(It was a) great meet to prepare us for the upcoming district championships this week at Piqua,” he said.
