Junior Fair royalty to be crowned Saturday

EATON — 2022 Preble County Jr. Fair Queen Kendall Miller and King Drew Michael will emcee this year’s Preble County Junior Fair Royalty contest when the representatives are chosen on Saturday, June 17, in the Expo Center on the Preble County Fairgrounds.

The contest begins at 7 p.m. (Personal interviews will take place earlier in the day.)

New this year will be a Livestock Court which will include six individuals who have entered livestock projects. A king and queen will also be crowned to represent Clothing and Textiles, Nutrition and Foods and the Arts. All positions are open to both male and females who have a project entered in the fair through 4-H, FFA, FCCLA, Camp Fire Girls, Boys and Girls Clubs or Girl Scouts.

Candidates for Preble County Junior Fair King are:

Wade D. Mann II, 17, New Paris, representing National Trail MVCTC FFA. Wade is the son of Wade and Jennifer Little-Mann.

Mason Nuse, 14, New Paris, representing Monroe Better Livestock 4-H Club. Nuse is the son Catina Lopez. He is also running for Livestock Court and Nutrition, Textiles and Arts King.

Zane Owens, 17, Lewisburg, representing Bouncing Bunnies 4-H Club. Zane is the son of Aaron and Amy Owens.

Hayden Rose, 18, Eaton, representing Preble County Livestock 4-H Club and Eaton MVCTC FFA. Hayden is the son of Dustin and Kelly Rose.

Candidates for Queen include:

Lily Bailey, 17, West Alexandria, representing Cottontail Express 4-H Club. Lily is the daughter of Landon and Michelle Bailey.

Delaney Deaton, 17, Eaton, representing Eaton MVCTC FFA. Delaney is the daughter of Matthew and Shauna Deaton

Josey Meeks, 18, Eaton, representing Preble Lambs Unlimited 4-H Club. Josey is the daughter of Jim and Beth Meeks.

Erica Nerderman, 17, Eaton, representing Twin Creek Livestock 4-H Club and Eaton MVCTC FFA. Nerderman is the daughter of Joanna Wiggers. She is also running for Livestock Court and Nutrition, Textiles and Arts Queen.

Natalie Osswald, 18, Eldorado, representing Monroe Better Livestock 4-H Club. Natalie is the daughter of Lane and Bambi Osswald. Natalie is also running for Nutrition, Textiles and Arts Queen.

Jillian Overmyer, 17, West Alexandria, representing Spic N Span Pots N Pans 4-H Club. Jillian is the daughter of Michael and Jenifer Overmyer. Jillian is also running for Livestock Court.

Elaine Rhoades, 16, Lewisburg, representing Spic N Span Pots N Pans 4-H Club. Elaine is the daughter of Dwayne and Jennifer Rhoades. Elaine is also running for Livestock Court.
