All the people listed as “arrested” or “charged” are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Friday, June 9, Englewood Report 230000929: Police responded to Meijer on the report of theft suspect that fled the store. Using the citywide surveillance camera system, dispatchers advised responding officers that the suspect had entered Starbucks with another male subject that was not involved in the theft. Officers entered Starbucks and located the male the suspect was with, who was waiting on his order. The officers checked the restrooms and found one locked and waited outside. A male matching the description of the suspect exited the restroom and was detained and transported back to Meijer where he was positively identified. Justin D. Stilwell, 31, of Springfield, was charged with theft, issued a court summons and released.

Englewood Report 230000931: Officers responded to the 200 block of Eller Ave. on the report of disorderly conduct. Officers had been to the same address 30 minutes earlier on a domestic disturbance and the suspect had left the area on a black Harley Davidson just before police arrived. The residents were told to call if the suspect returned so that he could be issued a no trespass letter. When the suspect returned he was denied entry, so he attempted to remove the downstairs window air conditioner to get inside. Police observed his Harley on the sidewalk just east of the residence. He made arrangements to remove his belongings the next day and his mother responded to the scene to pick him up since he did not have a valid license. Officers discovered the motorcycle had a validation sticker that was removed from a vehicle parked in the driveway that belonged to one of the residents. The motorcycle also appeared to have been repainted, so officers located the vehicle identification number and discovered the Harley was listed as stolen out of Champaign County. Jeremy A. McInturff, 40, of Union, was charged with receiving stolen property and transported to the county jail.

Sunday, June 11, Englewood Report 230000933: Walter L. Harrison, Jr., 78, of Clayton 45415, was charged with operating a vehicle intoxicated, operating a vehicle intoxicated with a breath alcohol content greater than .08, and failure to maintain marked lanes of travel. He registered at 0.164 percent on a breath intoxilyzer test. He was issued a court summons and released to a family member.

The resident has a camera directed toward the side yard, but it did not capture anyone leaving the bike, but the video showed that the bike was dropped off around 4 a.m.
