PCSO to have office at Junction Village

EATON — Preble County Sheriff Mike Simpson on Wednesday, June 21, discussed with Preble County Commissioners a plan to create an office space for PCSO deputies at the county-owned Junction Village Mall on North Barron St.

According to Simpson, this office space will open up an area for moving the dispatch center into a larger, more efficient space at the Preble County Sheriff’s Office on Preble Drive.

“The cost of trying to add on our building is not even in the ballpark of what we can do,” Simpson said. “This appears to be probably the most cost-efficient thing that we can do to create some space.”

“It’ll require us to change how we operate a little bit, but we’ll come up with a plan to do that,” he added.

In other business, commissioners:

•Entered into executive session to discuss courthouse security.

•Approved a billboard rental agreement with Comstor Outdoor in the amount of $1,700 for Children Services.

•Approved an administrative agent duties agreement between Job and Family Services and Family and Children First Council.

•Approved a sub-grant agreement between Ohio Department of Medicaid and Ohio Department of Job and Family Services for Job and Family Services.

•Noted receipt of an executed agreement between Wood County Job and Family Services and Child Welfare Fellowship Consortium for Job and Family Services.
