BROOKVILLE — First-year coach Cory Caudill takes over as head golf coach at Brookville from his father Scott Caudill where the Blue Devils are coming off back-to-back divisional titles.

Scott will now coach the junior varsity team.

Optimism and numbers are high. Three senior all-league performers return in Drew Holt (first team), Landon Trent (second team) and Isaiah Hoff (honorable mention).

The Blue Devils opened the 2023 season with the inaugural SWBL Ryder Cup two-man best ball event. The Blue Devils finished 4th out of nine teams (Ross, Edgewood, and Monroe did not participate).

Seniors Drew Holt and Landon Trent led the way with a team score of 79. Troy Peak (jr.) and Isaiah Hoff (sr.) added a 91, while Daelon Wackerman (so.) and Jackson Kleismit (jr.) rounded out the card with a team score of 94.

“The Ryder Cup is a great team event that gives coaches and players an opportunity to compete before the season truly begins,” Cory Caudill said.

Bellbrook won the Ryder Cup with a score of 212 followed by Oakwood (214), Waynesville (250), Brookville (254), Valley View (278), Carlilse (282), Madison (291), Eaton (299), and Franklin (315).

The Blue Devils host all teams in the Buckeye division on Monday, August 7, travel to Pipestone Golf Course on Tuesday, August 8, and host the annual Brookville Invitational at Beechwood Golf Course on Thursday, August 10.
