The following information has been provided by area police departments. The information listed in this column is considered public record and is available to anyone seeking information concerning what is provided below.

For purposes of this column, the term “arrested” or “charged” does not necessarily mean the person was taken into physical custody. It could also indicate that a summons was issued to the subject in lieu of physical custody.

All the people listed as “arrested” or “charged” are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Friday, Aug. 4, Brookville report 23-00317: Chelsey M. Shellabarger, 21, of Brookville, was charged right of way at intersection following an accident at Westbrook Road and Western Avenue. She was issued a court summons.

Clayton report 230000891: Officers responded to the area of Westbrook Road and Salem Avenue on the report of male and female yelling at each other. The female had two warrants, one inside the pickup radius. Sandra Keykens, 35, of Zanesfield, was arrested on a warrant through the Logan County Sheriff’s Office and transported to the county jail.

Saturday, Aug. 5, Brookville report 23-00318: Jackson R. Isaacs, 19, of Lewisburg, was charged with failure to stop at posted stop sign following an accident at Arlington and Triggs roads. He was issued a court summons.

Brookville report 23-00319: As an officer was looking for a reported suspicious person, two women walking along the Wolf Creek Recreation Trail near the rear lot of Golden Gate Park flagged the officer down and pointed out a pair of fleece pajama pants with hedgehogs and hearts on them. The officer collected the pants as found property.

Brookville report 23-00320: Kayla J. Schenck, 32, of Brookville, was arrested on two warrants issued by Montgomery County Municipal Court for failure to appear. She was transported to the county jail.

Sunday, Aug. 6, Brookville report 23-00321: A criminal trespass warning was issued to a male subject on Ridge Road.

Clayton report 230000892: Jami R. McConnell, 32, of Dayton 45406, was charged with operating a vehicle intoxicated and open container. She was transported to the county jail.

Clayton report 230000896: Police responded to the 6600 block of Portrait Dr. on the report of a pit bull attacking and biting another dog that was being walked by its owner. Shannon R. Harris, 38, of Clayton 45415, was charged with having a dog at large and issued a court summons.

Monday, Aug. 7, Clayton report 230000898: A group of five unknown teenage males attempted to steal a 2015 Hyundai at Winston Woods Apartments. A neighbor’s camera recorded the incident. The passenger side rear window was shattered, and the ignition switched was tampered with. The owner of the car came outside and yelled at the teens, who ran off towards a wooded area to the east.

Clayton report 230000902: A female subject was issued a written trespass warning at a home on W. Salem Street.

Clayton report 230000905: An officer on patrol at 9:55 p.m. in the Hunter’s Path subdivision under construction spotted a white male inside the garage of a home being built on Redwood Road carrying a small white box in his right hand. The male dropped the box went into the house, then ran south behind the houses. The officer pursued and ordered the male to stop but he kept running. He then fled back towards Redwood Road where the officer caught up with him and ordered him to the ground with his Taser pointed at him. The male refused to comply and claimed he was being chased by a male in a dark vehicle the officer had observed leaving the subdivision. Police contacted the construction manager who responded to the scene and discovered that the furnace inside the home had been tampered with and damaged as well as copper pipes damaged. Matthew D. Foster, 44, of Dayton 45417, was charged with failure to comply, breaking and entering and felony possession of a controlled substance. He complained of having a heart attack and was transported to the hospital for evaluation. Once discharged, he will be transported to the county jail.

Tuesday, Aug. 8, Brookville report 23-00325: Steven R. Thomas, 68, of New Lebanon, was charged with operating a vehicle intoxicated, speeding, and open container. He registered at .031 percent on a breath intoxilyzer test. He was issued a court summons and released to his sister.

Clayton report 230000907: An officer traveling south on Taywood Road observed a silver car sitting near the road in the parking lot of Mower Medic with its headlights on. Arionna M. Coleman, 23, of Englewood, was charged with having physical control of a motor vehicle while intoxicated and her license was confiscated. She was issued a court summons and released to her father.

Wednesday, Aug. 9, Brookville report 23-00326: Autumn M. Williams, 45, of Cincinnati, was charged with expired registration, and no driver’s license. Her vehicle was towed. She was issued a court summons and transported to Waffle House to wait for a ride.

Brookville report 23-00327: Katelyn B. Miller, 30, of Winchester, Ind., was arrested by Greenville Police on a Brookville warrant for disorderly conduct. A Brookville officer met a Greenville officer at Brown and Sons Nursery and took Miller into custody and transported her to the county jail.

Clayton report 230000909: Police responded to the 3900 block of Valley Brook Dr. South on a dog bite. The victim stated she was fostering a male pit bull and as she was putting a bowl of water on the floor the pit bull attacked her dog. As she was trying to break up the fight the pit bull attacked her and bit her on both hands and forearms. She was transported to the hospital for treatment. The Animal Resource Center picked up the dog and issued a quarantine order.

Thursday, Aug. 10, Brookville report 23-00328: Desiree L. Adkins, 25, of Muncie, Ind., was charged with obstructing official business and transported to the county jail.
