South celebrates homecoming with 61-6 win

WEST ALEXANDRIA – Twin Valley South celebrated homecoming with a convincing 61-6 romp over Dixie on Friday, Sept. 29.

The Panthers scored 21 points in the first quarter and added 26 more in the second to take a 47-0 halftime lead.

Cais Kingsley rushed for 199 yards on 12 carries and scored four touchdowns to lead the Panthers.

Brayden Koeller added 108 yards on just six carries and scored twice.

Cole Bishop got the scoring started with a 33-yard TD run in the first quarter. Kingsley then scored from 7-yards out to push the lead to 14-0 and Clayton Woodgeard closed out the first quarter scoring with a 7-yard TD run to extend the lead to 21-0.

In the second, Kingsley scored on runs of 42- and 20-yards to give South a 33-0 lead.

Koeller then added two scores on runs of 55- and 15-yards for a 47-0 lead.

In the third, Kingsley added his fourth TD of the game on a 50-yard run.

After a Dixie touchdown in the fourth, South’s Parker Weldy scored on a 47-yard run to close out the scoring.

Brayden Childers led the Panthers with nine tackles.

South, now 3-4 overall and 3-3 in the Western Ohio Athletic Conference, is scheduled to travel to Bradford on Friday, Oct. 6.
