Lady Bolts XC team qualifies for regional

CEDARVILLE — Northmont’s girls cross country team earned a 5th place finish at the Division I district race at Cedarville to qualify for this Saturday’s regional meet in Troy.

Freshman Makenna Long led Northmont with a 10th place finish in 19:22.05.

Other individual times: Jazlen Simpson (32nd) 20:37.19. Addison Brown (33rd) 20:42.16. Amelia Brown (38th) 20:48.80. Briana Pressel (42nd) 20:59.33. Libbi Mergler (49th) 21:20.13. Lilia Lopez (57th) 21:49.66.

Mia Fry of Centerville took 1st place in 18:33.97.

The Troy regional Division I girls race starts at 2 p.m. with awards at 3:15 p.m. inside Troy Memorial Stadium.

For the boys freshman Dominic Lopez qualified for regional by finishing 18th overall with a time of 16:20.90. The Northmont boys placed 9th overall.
