The following information has been provided by area police departments. The information listed in this column is considered public record and is available to anyone seeking information concerning what is provided below.

For purposes of this column, the term “arrested” or “charged” does not necessarily mean the person was taken into physical custody. It could also indicate that a summons was issued to the subject in lieu of physical custody.

All the people listed as “arrested” or “charged” are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Wednesday, Nov. 8, Englewood 230001859: Police responded to Meijer on a theft in progress. The suspects fled south on Main Street in a Toyota Tacoma displaying a license plate belonging to a different vehicle. Police were able to identify the owner of the Tacoma (driver) as well as a female subject that stole merchandise. Detectives are conducting a follow up investigation.

Englewood 230001861: Christopher R. Conner, 27, of Dayton 45420, was charged with theft at Meijer and transported to the county jail.

Thursday, Nov. 9, Englewood 230001864: Police responded to Sonora Court on a disorderly subject that stole his girlfriend’s iPhone. The suspect fled the scene prior to police arriving. A warrant was issued for his arrest.

Friday, Nov. 10, Englewood 230001873: Lakisha Johnson, 46, of Dayton 45414, was charged with operating a vehicle intoxicated, issued a court summons, and released to a family member.

Thursday, Nov. 23, Clayton 230001373: A Door Dash delivery driver struck a lamp post and landscaping rock while backing out of a driveway in the 200 block of S. Kimmel Rd.

Saturday, Nov. 25, Clayton 230001381: Police responded to a burglary alarm in the 1000 block of Redwood Rd. in the Hunter’s Path subdivision. Officers found the sliding glass door forced open and tire tracks leading up to the rear of a model home. It appeared a TV had been removed from a wall mount bracket.

Sunday, Nov. 26, Brookville 2300503: Skylar A. Reed, 34, of Dayton 45403, was issued a citation for expired tags and released.

Brookville 2300504: Police investigated an assault in the 100 block of Brookmoor Drive. Both people involved signed refusal to prosecute forms.

Clayton 230001384: An unknown subject broke the lock on a work trailer at Johnson’s Flooring and left the doors open. No items appeared to be missing from the trailer.

Monday, Nov. 27, Clayton 230001383: A hit-and-run accident was reported in the 5100 block of Crescent Ridge Dr. where an unknown subject struck a vehicle parked in a driveway.

Clayton 230001388: Donald P. Napier, 34, of Kettering, was charged with theft of services for dumping trash in and next to a dumpster at Stoneridge Apartments. Charges were forwarded to Vandalia Municipal Court.

Clayton 230001390: Identity theft was reported by a resident of Rundell Drive that discovered someone had used her driver’s license number and name to obtain auto insurance.

Tuesday, Nov. 28, Brookville 2300506: A resident of Elk Court reported losing his wallet containing his concealed carry permit, driver’s license, credit, and insurance cards. The resident cancelled his credit cards. Police provided the resident with information from the Federal Trade Commission on how to monitor his credit and steps to prevent identity theft.

Wednesday, Nov. 29, Clayton 230001399: A dark colored pickup truck was recorded by a surveillance camera enter the Grand Villas of Clayton property at 5:49 a.m. and remove a five foot by 10 foot utility trailer.

Monday, Dec. 4, Clayton 230001423: Identity theft was reported by a resident of Roblar Hills Drive who advised a female subject was using her Social Security number and a warrant had been issued for her arrest out of the Marion County Sheriff’s Office. Marion County discovered who the female actually was that was using the victim’s SSN and rewrote the warrant to remove the victim’s name.

Saturday, Dec. 9, Union 23000000509: Trent A. Thompson, 62, of Union, was charged with operating a vehicle intoxicated, operating a motor vehicle intoxicated with a blood alcohol content greater than .08 percent, headlights required, and marked lanes of travel. He registered at 0.142 percent on a breath intoxilyzer test. He was issued a court summons and released to a family member.

Monday, Dec. 11, Union 23000000513: Jarezz M. Dean, 23, of Dayton 45417, was charged with speeding, driving under suspension, and driving without a valid license. The vehicle he was driving was confirmed as stolen out of Beavercreek. Charges are pending for receiving stolen property. Dean was transported to the county jail.
