BROOKVILLE — Brookville Elementary School will host a kindergarten orientation on Thursday, Feb. 22, at 6 p.m. in the elementary cafeteria.
Parents attending the orientation are asked to enter through the doors labeled “Event Entrance.”
School officials ask that only one parent come to the event due to limited space.
School officials also request that that no children attend the orientation.
The orientation will be for parents who reside in the Brookville Local School district and have a child who will be 5 on or before Aug. 1, 2024.
At this time, school personnel will be available to provide detailed information about kindergarten screening.
Parents will have an opportunity to schedule their child for a kindergarten staggered entry date on Aug. 12, Aug. 14 or Aug. 15.
Kindergarten students will not start school until Aug. 19 due to staggered entry.
Parents should bring the required documents (birth certificate, proof of residence and custody papers if applicable) to register their child for school.
Brookville Elementary has a full-day kindergarten program with children attending from 9 a.m. to 3:20 p.m. each day.
