The following information has been provided by area police departments. The information listed in this column is considered public record and is available to anyone seeking information concerning what is provided below.

For purposes of this column, the term “arrested” or “charged” does not necessarily mean the person was taken into physical custody. It could also indicate that a summons was issued to the subject in lieu of physical custody.

All the people listed as “arrested” or “charged” are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Monday, Jan. 1, Englewood 240000001: Officers responded to the 300 block of Westerly Hills Dr. on the report of a male subject firing multiple shots from both a handgun and a rifle into the air just after midnight. A witness was concerned when the subject fired the rifle at a 45 degree angle in the direction of Englewood Hills Elementary fearing the rounds might strike other homes in the neighborhood. An officer spoke to the suspect who would neither confirm nor deny if he had fired shots in the air. Another officer found spent shell casings on the back patio of the suspect’s home. Charges of discharging firearms and other weapons within the city limits were forwarded to court for review by a prosecutor.

Tuesday, Jan. 2, Englewood 240000010: Antoine N. Johnson, 36, of Dayton 45417, was arrested on a warrant out of Montgomery County on a civil protection order violation and was cited for obstructing official business for resisting arrest. He was taken to jail.

Wednesday, Jan. 3, Englewood 240000018: Lotoya L. Graham, 23, of Dayton 45405, was charged with theft at Meijer. She was issued a court summons and released.

Friday, Jan. 5, Englewood 240000022: Felix I. Garcia, 44, of Dayton 45405, was arrested on a felony warrant for a probation violation, was charged with theft at Meijer and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was taken to jail.

Englewood 240000026: Joshua W. Gentner, Sr., 34, at large, was taken into custody on a warrant out of Huber Heights. He claimed he had ingested drugs and was transported to the hospital for treatment.

Saturday, Jan. 6, Englewood 240000032: Candace M. Hograve, 37, of Clayton 45415, was charged with obstructing justice. She was issued a court summons and released.

Englewood 240000036: An officer responded to the 8700 block of N. Main St. and made contact with a Clayton officer was with a female subject on a motorized grocery scooter stolen from Meijer as well several stolen items. The female refused to identify herself and resisted arrest. An officer found a piece of mail in the grocery scooter’s cart that belonged to the female. Stacy Woods, 35, of Dayton 45406, was charged with theft and obstructing official business and was taken to jail.

Monday, Jan. 8, Englewood 240000043: Officers responded to the area of S. Main Street and W. Wenger Road on the report of a vehicle reported as stolen out of Kettering being observed. The vehicle was located and a traffic stop was made. Ashley Mishelle Gay Nolasco-Flores, 20, of Kettering, was charged with receiving stolen property and taken to jail.

Englewood 240000045: Carolyn E. Hall, 60, of Englewood, was arrested on a Dayton warrant or failure to appear on a traffic offense. She was taken to jail.

Tuesday, Jan. 9, Englewood 240000047: Angelina Hill, 45, of Englewood, was arrested on a felony warrant out of Montgomery County. Jail staff refused to accept Hill due to high blood pressure. She was placed in an ankle monitor and transported to the hospital for treatment.

Englewood 240000048: Police responded to O’Reilly Auto Parts on a fraudulent return of merchandise for a refund by an employee. Terry G. Little II, 49, of Piqua, was charged with theft and taken to jail.

Thursday, Jan. 11, Englewood 240000058: Jay D. Brown, 27, of Clayton 45415, was arrested on s warrant out of Warren County for failure to appear on charges of driving under suspension, no operator’s license, and a registration violation. Brown was taken to jail.

Saturday, Feb 10, Union 24000000063: A resident reported receiving a package via FedEx that was supposed to contain two replacement monitors for her work computer. When she brought the package inside it was sealed but when she opened the box all that it contained was bubble wrap. The exterior of the box contained a shipping and tracking label. When she contacted FedEx the company’s records showed that the package had yet to be picked up by a driver for delivery. An officer told the resident that her employer, Synchrony Financial, would have to file a police report as well since they are the victim of this theft.

Friday, Feb. 16, Union 24000000067: Nicholas S. Arnold, 41, of West Milton, was charged with operating a vehicle intoxicated, refusal of a field sobriety test, speeding seat belt required. Arnold was issued a court summons and released to his girlfriend.
