I am writing this letter in support of the reelection of Rachael Vonderhaar and the election of Jane Marshall for Preble County Commissioner. I am not one to publicize my political affiliation.

When Vonderhaar first ran for commissioner, her sign was the first that my husband and I allowed to be put in our yard. I’ve always felt this was a private decision I made every time I went to the polls. This year, I feel strongly enough about these two candidates that I’m willing to speak out.

I’ve been registered as an Independent voter since I was 18 years old. This will be the first primary election I’ve voted in since registering. Why, you ask? Because I believe in the integrity of both Vonderhaar and Marshall.

Commissioner Vonderhaar has proven over the last three years that she has Preble County’s best interest at heart. Her involvement in numerous organizations shows that she has a heart for service and that she wants to help Preble County be the best it can be.

I know that the same is true in regards to Jane Marshall. She has worked tirelessly to help improve and protect what’s great about this county.

I find both Vonderhaar and Marshall to be genuine, open-minded, independent thinkers and I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know them over the years. They are what Preble County needs.

I urge you to show up and vote for both Rachael Vonderhaar and Jane Marshall on March 19.
