OASC honors Neaton with Community Partner Award

EATON — On March 7, the Ohio Association of Senior Centers recognized and awarded Neaton Auto Products Manufacturing as the Community Partner of the Year for 2024. Neaton was nominated by Preble County Council on Aging due to their continued commitment to supporting seniors in Preble County.

Shelley Ratliff, Executive Director of PCCOA, presented the award to them and had this to say:

“Neaton has a long history supporting the elderly in Preble County. For at least the last 13 years, they have hosted an employee drive to collect for Christmas baskets that PCCOA distributes right before the Christmas holidays. Their excitement continued and in 2020, PCCOA was designated as their charity of choice for a National Conference. However, COVID-19 cancelled the conference. Neaton did not stop supporting PCCOA. In fact, they attend and purchase goodies for their staff at our Bi-Annual Dessert Auction. They also support the Decades Diner, which is located inside our senior center.

“Each week they call ahead for a take-out order. The most flattering act by Neaton, was contributing a donation at the Senior Center Ambassador level for the Senior Center Expansion Fund. In addition, Neaton just announced they will provide several flat screen TVs for the new expansion. They have proven to be a great friend to PCCOA and the seniors in Preble County. Neaton has not only stepped up their game occasionally but has made a commitment for continued support. Their presence is known at PCCOA and they expect nothing in return.”

The room was full of applause as Neaton received their award. The award was received by Jeremy McWilliams, Vice President and Kim Bolinger, Human Resources Assistant Manager.

Congratulations to Neaton on a well-deserved award! Thank you for continuing to support our seniors. We and our seniors appreciate it!
