The following information has been provided by area police departments. The information listed in this column is considered public record and is available to anyone seeking information concerning what is provided below.

For purposes of this column, the term “arrested” or “charged” does not necessarily mean the person was taken into physical custody. It could also indicate that a summons was issued to the subject in lieu of physical custody.

All the people listed as “arrested” or “charged” are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Saturday, March 9, Clayton 240000244: Robert E. Ross, 50, of Fairfield, was arrested at Orchard Grove Apartments on a warrant issued by the Butler County Sheriff’s Office. He was taken to the Montgomery County Jail.

Sunday, March 10, Clayton 240000249: Michelle G. George, 35, of Clayton 45415, was cited for expired registration and a temporary permit violation. During a search of the vehicle police located 12 unknown pills in the pouch on the back of the driver’s seat. A male subject sitting in the driver’s side rear seat with a history of possessing narcotics was informed that if the pills tested positive for narcotics a warrant would be issued for his arrest. The driver and both passengers were released to a valid driver.

Clayton 240000250: Terri R. Hill, 31, of Union, was charged with operating a vehicle intoxicated, operating a vehicle with a breath test over the legal limit, speeding and no tail lights. She registered at 0.153 percent on a breath intoxilyzer test. Her vehicle was impounded. She was issued a court summons and released to her ex-boyfriend.

Tuesday, March 12, Clayton 240000262: Police responded to United Dairy Farmers on the report of a theft. A clerk stated a black male subject dressed in all black, with a black backpack with white tennis shoes entered the store and placed two 25 ounce cans of Bug Light in the backpack and left without paying. He was last seen walking north on Union Road.

Friday, March 15, Clayton 240000269: Jocelyn B. Taylor, 27, of Trotwood, was charged with no operator’s license and two headlights required and was arrested on a warrant out of Dayton. She was taken to the county jail.

Sunday, March 17, Clayton 240000276: Englewood Officer Schroeder pulled a vehicle over in Clayton for dangerous driving. Mikey’ion E. Hunter, 25, of Dayton 45406, was charged with operating a vehicle intoxicated, operating a vehicle with a breath test over the legal limit, open container and driving without a valid license. He registered at 0.168 percent on a breath intoxilyzer test. He was taken to the county jail.

Clayton 240000278: Austin M. George, 21, of Portland, Ind., was cited for use of turn signals when turning and temporary permit violation. George and his passenger were released and his vehicle was impounded. During an inventory search officers located a small Baggie filled with a crystalized substance consistent with illegal narcotics. A syringe was also located.

Monday, March 18, Clayton 240000279: Officers responded to North Dayton Golf Academy / Bairs Den at 11:18 p.m. on the report of a vehicle on fire. The vehicle was fully engulfed and fire personnel extinguished the flames. The vehicle had no license plate. A vehicle identification number was located and the registered owner was identified. A male subject walking north on Union Road approached officers and stated he was going to get flowers for his girlfriend and realized he forgot his wallet. He attempted to turn around, drove through the grass and got stuck in the mud. He stated he was spinning his tires which only dug him in deeper in the mud and resulted in the vehicle catching fire.

Clayton 240000281: A resident provided police with photos of a vehicle that got stuck in her front yard and left tire marks. Nothing was missing from the property.

Clayton 240000284: An officer pulled a vehicle over that displayed two different license plates. Burns L. Womble, 44, of Dayton 45417, was cited for operating an unsafe motor vehicle, driving under child support suspension, driving without a valid license, and was arrested on a warrant out of Montgomery County for a probation violation. He was transported to Miami Valley Hospital North for treatment of seizures. His fiancé, Julia R. Wilson, 35, of Dayton 45417, was arrested on an Englewood warrant and turned over to an Englewood officer that responded to the scene.

Clayton 240000286: A motorist traveling north on Main Street noticed the driver of a gray GMC Sport Utility Vehicle in the left lane was pointing and waving a large caliber silver handgun at him. The motorist slammed on his brakes to get away from the gun wielding driver of the GMC and called police. Englewood officers located the GMC at the Carriage House Apartments. Donta D. McCoy, 40, of Englewood, was charged with aggravated menacing and transported to the county jail. His gun was confiscated.

Tuesday, March 19, Clayton 240000290: A male subject was issued a criminal trespass warning in the 7900 block of Melody Rd.

Wednesday, March 20, Clayton 240000293: Caleb A. Roecker, 29, of Englewood, was charged with trespassing in the 4500 block of Seville Dr. He was transported by medics to Miami Valley Hospital North after being sedated due to bizarre behavior and failure to comply.

Thursday, March 21, Clayton 240000298: Lavon S. Hanns, 18, of Dayton 45406, was charged with assault and criminal mischief at Shell True North on Salem Avenue. Police reviewed surveillance camera footage of the assault. Charges were forwarded to Vandalia Municipal Court.
