Lady Bolts take 2nd at Butler Invitational

VANDALIA — Northmont’s track teams continued to turn in solid performances Friday at the annual Butler Invitational.

The Lady Bolts placed 2nd overall in a field of 14 teams with 104 points behind 1st place Butler with 127.5.

Northmont’s boys team placed 5th in a field of 15 teams with 57 points. Butler took 1st with 130.5 followed by Fairmont with 96, Troy 90.5, and Miamisburg with 75.

The meet started with a hail storm dropping pea sized hail during the girls 4×800 relay. Northmont placed 4th with Briana Pressel, Lilia Lopez, Addison Brown, and Amelia Brown finishing in 11:20.76.

In the 100 hurdles Celeste Chambers finished 15th in 19.63 seconds and Olivia Mallory was 25th in 21.82.

Victorie Odole won the 100 meter dash in 12.72 seconds with Chinaza Ibe 4th in 13.38.

The Lady Bolts won the 4×200 relay with Jakayla Waddell, Ibe, Odole, and Da’Zyre Oliver crossing the finish line in 1:49.73.

Makenna Long placed 4th in the 1600 meter run in 5:43.09. Addison Brown was 7th in 5:58.16.

The Lady Bolts placed 4th in the 4×100 meter relay (Juliana Gunn, Ibe, Reid, Raylin Turner) with a time of 52.88 seconds.

Waddell placed 3rd in 400 dash (1:03.64) and Faye Osborne finished 12th (1:07.65).

Paige Auxier finished 10th in the 300 hurdles in 54.02 seconds while Chambers was 14th in 56.94.

Jazlen Simpson placed 2nd in the 800 meter run in 2:34.84 and Makenna Long 3rd in 2:35.76.

Zoey Evers placed 3rd in the 200 meter dash in 28.37 seconds and Ibe 6th in 28.84.

Amelia Brown placed 2nd in the 3200 meter run at 12:32.61 and Briana Pressel 5th in 12:52.58.

The Lady Bolts placed 2nd in the 4×400 with a time of 4:22.15.

Northmont won the 4×101 relay (Fast, Wilkinson-Harper, Azagaku, Besingi) in 1:04.00.

Jenna Hall placed 4th in the high jump at 4-feet, 7-inches while Julia Daugherty finished 11th at 4-feet, 4-inches.

Juliana Gunn placed 5th in the long jump at 14-feet, 6.5-inches and Madison Wadle finished 18th at 12-feet, 3.75-inches.

Logan Fast placed 5th in the discus at 95-feet, 10-inches while Quinlan Singleton finished 17th at 60-feet, 7-inches.

Fast finished 9th in the shot put at 28-feet, 9.25-inches and Besingi was 10th at 28-feet, 4-inches.

Boys results

Shay Edwards finished 9th in the 110 meter hurdles in 18.77 seconds and Shurkarani Wilondja was 12th in 19.43.

Willie Paige III was 7th in the 100 meter dash in 11.55 seconds and Terry Harrell 16th in 11.86.

The T’bolts placed 3rd in the 4×200 relay (Paige, Jonathan Warren, Daniel Ivory, and Kalib Haynesworth) in 1:34.33.

Daron Porter won the 1600 meter run in 4:32.31 and Owen Bush placed 6th in 4:57.52. Porter also took 1st in the 800 meter run in 1:58.83 while Grant Mergler was 13th in 2:15.49.

Michael Goffinet placed 7th in the 400 meter dash in 55.52 seconds and Javier Pfeiler finished 13th at 57.94.

Eli Pettis placed 2nd in the 300 hurdles in 42.61 seconds with Shay Edwards 17th in 49.64.

Jonathan Warren placed 4th in the 200 meter dash in 23.58 seconds and Kalib Haynesworth placed 8th at 23.81.

Jackson Morgret placed 5th in the 3200 meter run at 10:26.68 while Daemani Lee finished 19th in 12:26.93.

Northmont placed 3rd in the 4×400 relay (Goffinet, Norris, Ivory, Pettis) in 3:39.78.

Ike Nwanoro finished 10th in the discus at 109-feet, 1-inch while Charlie Henson was 17th at 100-feet, 0-inches.

Henson finished 12th in the shot put at 37-feet, 7-inches while Nwanoro was 24th at 34-feet, 6.5-inches.
