EATON — The Cellular Connection (TCC) held a grand opening ribbon cutting for its local Verizon retailer’s new location on Thursday, Sept. 26. TCC/Verizon has been in Eaton for many years, but officially opened at their new location in Mid-July.
In addition to the ribbon cutting, held by Preble County Chamber of Commerce, Ohio Representative J. Todd Smith presented District Manager Amanda Moffett with a commendation from the Ohio House of Representatives.
According to Moffett, business has been good since their opening.
“We’ve definitely seen a better turnout of customer base. Eaton has always been a very supportive community for us, but since we moved locations and got a better building, we’ve really seen an uptick in traffic, sales, and profit,” she said.
“[Our old building] was really old. We wanted to move to this end of town, because it is more business central. Walmart, the Car Wash, Skyline, all the fast food — more of the businesses are on this side of town and there really weren’t any businesses on that side of town.”
TCC/Verizon is now located at 1712 North Barron St., Eaton — in the same area as Walmart, Pizza Hut, a car wash, Skyline Chili, and Bob Evans. The store is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. and on Sunday from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. The store can be reached at 937-456-1717.
Moffett added, while they are in a new location, the new store is now open and ready to service the public with any mobile phone need they might have.
“I want to thank the Eaton community for being supportive of us. They have always been a supportive community and we appreciate it,” she said. “[I want customers to know,] we did move locations, we are in a new spot, but we still offer the same quality of service we did at the old store, so please come see us.”
