Panthers Prep celebrated with ribbon cutting

LEWISBURG — Panthers Prep, located at 106 W. Dayton Street in Lewisburg, offers a play-based preschool learning center.

Panthers Prep was licensed in 2018 by Lisa Conley. Since its founding, Panthers Prep has been able to help almost 100 students learn life skills and prepare for their journey into kindergarten, according to Conley. The center has “a small-town mentality, and you can rest assured that each student will be worked with one-on-one,” according to officials.

On Saturday, March 19, a ribbon cutting was hosted by the Lewisburg Chamber of Commerce to welcome the preschool to the community.

“We’re finally here to do your ribbon cutting and let everybody know how awesome you are, and how much we appreciate you — because this right here is the start of our future,” Chamber President Todd Appledorn said.

Jeff Sewert, Lewisburg Village Adminstrator, welcomed Conley to the village.

“On behalf of the Village of Lewisburg, mayor and village council, Lisa, you are what education and kids are all about,” Sewert said. “I’ve met with her many times, and the passion she has for kids is bar none. And we appreciate you being part of the village.”

The mission of Panthers Prep is to prepare students for lifelong learning. Whether they are enrolled in the preschool program or are one of the K-4th grade students who come for tutoring, Panthers Prep “instills the skills they need for success.”

“I’m just so thankful that I am able to work in this community, to work with children who are our future here in Lewisburg and the Preble County area, because I not only have children from Tri County North, I have children from Twin Valley South, National Trail — I’ve had kids from Brookville, I have kids right now from Eaton,” Conley said. “It’s awesome to live and work in this town. I really love it.”
