GREENVILLE — Tri-County North, Twin Valley South, and Preble Shawnee all participated in the Greenville Treaty Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 3, in Cincinnati.
The highlight of the event was TVS girls’ runner Madison Wright, who finished first with a time of 19 minutes, 43 seconds. Her sister Megan finished 12th with a time of 21:02.
TVS girls did not field enough runners for a team score, but Maddyn McQueen finished 126th with a time of 27:23.
The boys finished 15th out of 20 teams.
Chris Keener finished 51st with a time of 19:26 for TVS, Kyle Saul finished 72nd with a time of 20:15. Seth Craft came in 105th with a time of 21:09 and Brandan Wright crossed the finish line at 109th with a time of 21:30.
Senior Matt Hemmelgarn finished 113th with a time of 21:40, and Curtis Hittle finished 164th with a time of 25:51.
TCN saw their girls finish 15th place as a team, while the boys took 12th place.
Top boy finishers for TCN were: Bailey Hilt, 19th, 18:15; Brandon Smeltzer at 84th, 20:36; Ian Alexander, 87th, 20:40; Trenton Napier, 98th, 21:01; Patrick Timmons, 112th, 21:40; Gregory Ras, 129th, 22:25 and Thomas Pudenz, 149th, 24:02.
Junior Taylor Cooper was the top finisher for the girls, placing 102nd with a 25:38. Others were: Hailey Brumley, 28:14; Julia Myers, 28:59; Anna Norris, 29:21 and Caitlyn McCullough, 29:38.
Preble Shawnee boys finished 16th out of 17 teams with a score of 475. Carter Roell finished 100th on the day with a time of 21:01. Teammate Rylan Roberts was close behind at 103rd. Dylan Childers was 158th, while Jon Hicks and Robert Burns were 169th and 172nd respectively.
The Lady Arrows had only three runners compete. Senior Mackenzie Howard was the first for her team to finish the race at 150th, while Alivia Reek and Emma Barnett closed out at 177th and 179th respectively.
Brookville awaits next week for all three teams, on Saturday, Sept. 10.
