Several vying for 2018 Fair Court

CAMDEN — The 2017 Preble County Jr. Fair Queen Gabbi Cooper and King Hunter Owens will emcee the 2018 Preble County Junior Fair Royalty Contest on Saturday, June 16, in the auditorium of Preble Shawnee High School.

The contest begins at 7 p.m. Personal interviews will take place earlier in the day.

Again this year the court will have a representative for each species and a representative for the Clothing and Textiles, Nutrition and Foods and the Arts. All positions are open to both male and females who have a project entered in the fair through 4-H, FFA, FCCLA, Camp Fire Girls, Boys and Girls Clubs or Girl Scouts.

Candidates for King are:

Nathan Henning, 17, Camden, representing Dixon Twp. Swine 4-H Club. Nathan is the son of Mike and Becky Henning.

Andrew Millhouse, 15, Anna, representing Bouncing Bunnies 4-H Club. Andrew is the son of Richard and Christy Millhouse.

Cole Whitesell, 18, Eaton, representing Dixon Twp. Swine 4-H Club and the Eaton MVCTC FFA Chapter. Cole is the son of Gregory and Heather Whitesell.

Candidates for Queen are:

Jessica Chappell, 18, Camden, representing Poultry Pride and Livestock 4-H Club. Jessica is the daughter of Donald and Michelle Chappell. Jessica is also running for Rabbit Queen.

Samantha Gramaglia, 17, Eaton, representing Bouncing Bunnies 4-H Club. Samantha is the daughter of Mandi Mullins. Samantha is also running for Rabbit Queen.

Chyann Kendel, Eaton, 17, representing Monroe Better Livestock 4-H Club and Twin Valley South MVCTC FFA. Chyann is the daughter of Chuck and Tere Kendel. Chyann is also running for Rabbit Queen.

Madison Kesler, 16, Cincinnati, representing the Busy Bees 4-H Club. Madison is the daughter of Jerusha Kesler of Eaton and Matthew Kesler of Cincinnati. Madison is also running for Nutrition, Textiles and Arts Queen.

Rachael Kimball, 17, Eaton, representing Monroe Better Livestock 4-H Club and National Trail MVCTC FFA. Rachael is the daughter of John and Tammy Kimball.

Jasmine Mabry, 18, Camden, representing Just Horsin’ Around 4-H Club. Jasmine is the Granddaughter of Jay and Kathy Mabry. Jasmine is also running for Horse Queen.

Alexis McCain, 17, Camden, representing Preble County Livestock 4-H Club. Alexis is the daughter Mark and Alexis McCain. Alexis is also running for Goat Queen.

Catie Millhouse, 18, Anna, representing the Bouncing Bunnies 4-H Club. Catie is the daughter of Richard and Christy Millhouse.

Katelyn Niehaus, 17, Eaton, representing the Spic-N-Span Pots-N-Pans and Somers Super Beef 4-H Clubs and the Eaton MVCTC FFA Chapter. Katelyn is the daughter of Harold and Suzanne Niehaus.

Alisha Rader, 17, Eaton, representing the All-Star Livestock 4-H Club and the Eaton MVCTC FFA. Alisha is the daughter of Kenny and Rebecca Rader. Alisha is also running for Lamb and Wool Queen.

Kelsie Shafer, 17, West Alexandria, representing Spic-N-Span Pots-N-Pans 4-H Club. Kelsie is the daughter of Jeffrey and Susan Shafer. Kelsie is also running for Nutrition, Textiles and Arts Queen.
