PREBLE COUNTY — At press time, Monday, April 8, all eyes turned to the sky during watch parties for the total solar eclipse. Parks in several communities were the sites for events and activities allowing residents and visitors alike to gather, enjoy a fun afternoon, and watch the celestial event which won’t be seen in Ohio again until 2099. Students honored at ceremony
CAMDEN — As the school year winds down across Preble County, area high schools are beginning to recognize students with inductions into National Honor Society and plan other end-of-year activities. Pictured, Preble Shawnee High School held its National Honor Society induction ceremony Wednesday, April 3. Shawnee will be the first to graduate next month, with its ceremony to be held on Saturday, May 18, at 11 a.m. at the school football complex due to a scheduling conflict with Miami Valley Career Technology Center.

EATON — A former school resource officer accused of having an inappropriate sexual relationship with a student has been indicted by a Preble County grand jury, Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost announced Monday, April 1.
