EATON — Preble County Sheriff Mike Simpson recently announced the Preble County Sheriff’s Office annual award winners.

Each employee was chosen based on several criteria, including teamwork, professionalism, job knowledge and overall job performance, according to Simpson.

The Preble County Sheriff’s Office recognizes employees in each division annually at its staff meeting.

The following awards for 2018 were presented on Sunday, Feb. 24:

Special Deputy of the Year: David Hatfield

Road Patrol/Detective of the Year: Det. Shane Hatfield

Supervisor of the Year: Captain Brad Moore

Dispatcher of the Year: Dispatcher Terri Shepherd

Support Staff of the Year: Kerri Beachler, LPN

Corrections Officer of the Year: Dep. John Grubb.

Simpson presented the awards to each employee honored.
