EATON — The Eaton High School Track & Field Program hosted the 32nd Annual Dean Stoltz Invitational on Thursday, April 18. This year’s event featured 13 schools and multiple 2018 OHSAA state qualifiers.

The invitational is named for the late Dean Stoltz, a longtime teacher and coach for the Eaton Community School District. During his career, Stoltz served as a basketball coach, assistant track & field coach, and was the first-ever coach of the cross country program.

The 2019 event moved to a Thursday night for the first time, and just the fourth time in the event’s history it was ran under the lights at the Eaton Community Schools Athletic Complex. This year’s schedule of events also included the Steeplechase.

Eaton’s boys placed second with 86 points. Byran won the meet with 98 points. Twin Valley South was sixth with 61 points.

Eaton’s girls were fourth with 65.5 points. Twin Valley South was 10th with 33. Preble Shawnee was 13th with 2 and Eaton’s B team was 14th with 1 point. Talawanda won the meet with 116 points.
