EATON — Indiana University East will serve as the host institution for the 2019 River States Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships.

The meet will take place April 25 and 26 at the Eaton High School Athletic & Wellness Stadium in Eaton.

“I’m super excited for it,” says IU East senior All-American hurdler Seth Reynolds, a 2015 Eaton High School graduate. “The facility is super nice. It’s a college facility that happens to be at my high school. I look forward to having a lot of support, and I know our Red Wolf team will have a lot of support from people around the community. It will be really exciting to compete there, and I think we’ll have our biggest crowd to come and watch one of our meets.”

Events will begin at 2:30 p.m. on April 25 and at 11 a.m. on April 26. Admission is free for the both days of the RSC meet.

Eaton High School is located at 600 Hillcrest Drive in Eaton, Ohio, a 25-minute drive from IU East.

“Eaton High School is excited to host the River States Conference meet,” says Eaton High School cross country and track and field coach Randy McKinney. “We planned and opened our facility in 2014 with the goal of hosting a college meet at in the near future. We hope it’ll be a great thing for both Eaton, the RSC athletes and our community. We look forward to the opportunity to expose local athletes and the community to collegiate-level track and field competition.”

IU East is an NAIA program. The Red Wolf cross country and track and field programs have been represented at the NAIA national meet nine times in 11 years of NAIA competition.

Eleven River States Conference programs are scheduled to take part in the league’s outdoor championships. The River States Conference is an NAIA conference that includes institutions in five states along the Ohio River.
