EATON — The Preble County Park District was awarded $50,000 by the Preble County Board of Commissioners on Monday, Jan. 30, as the board approved the master plan submitted by the organization.

The check was presented to Park District Vice President Kaylee Jo Lebo, Park District Commissioner Jeff Sewert, and Park District Manager Mindy Davidson.

“We’re grateful for the work the Park District does, and the time and effort you guys put in to making Preble County a fantastic place to come. Activities for the youth and activities for the adults — we’re appreciative of that and we thank you for your service. We’re glad we’re able to help in this way,” said Commissioner Adam Craft.

According to Lebo, the funds will be put to use in various parks around Preble County, including Devil’s Backbone in Camden and the Garber Forest Trails outside of Lewisburg.
