EATON — The Preble County Chamber of Commerce hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony, Tuesday, March 3, for the relocation of Gaia’s Blessings, now located at 1577 North Barron Street, in Eaton.
“Guys thank you very much for your support. Short story, I knew nothing about crystals two years ago, and now here I am. You just never know where the world’s going to take you and it’s amazing,” said owner Dale Spradling.
Gaia’s Blessings sells a variety of items, including incense, tarot cards, jewels, and candles.
“I didn’t think Preble County would support this kind of business, but you guys have been amazing, you’ve been putting food in my belly. So, I appreciate it,” Spradling said.
Owners Dale and Missi Spradling remarked the business has been an interesting endeavor, as well as learning opportunity for them, as Missi is a solitary Wicken and Dale a Christian.
“I’ve always wanted to open a store like this, it’s been my dream, and my lovely husband made it happen,” said Missi. “I do the witchy part, he’s learned so much, and I’m very proud of him for learning everything he’s done. He’s learned a lot about crystals and the different things.”
Dale added he is also responsible for making all of the candles and wax melts sold at Gaia’s Blessings.
He said initially he was concerned the business would not do well, due to the conservative nature of Preble County, but has been pleasantly surprised by the amount of support from the community.
The Spradling’s expressed their deep gratitude to the community for their continued support and look forward to continuing their business from the new location.
